A typical day at sparkling minds
Breakfast is served
The table is laid for breakfast time! Children will be sat down in order to eat their breakfast. We provide a range of healthy options of which the children are encouraged to self-serve where possible.
Circle Time
A valuable point of the day where the children sit in a group with a member of staff, the children will more formally greet each other via hello songs, wake up shake up, and other formalities. This may also include a planned activity, story time session and Nursery rhymes.
Lunch Is Served
The table is laid for lunch time! Children will be sat down to have their lunch. Children will have a 2-course meal, which includes dessert. All our meals are healthy, highly nutritious and freshly prepared on-site.
Free Play / Choice
This is an opportunity for all our children have the freedom to play and explore with the use of all our well-equipped resources both indoors and outdoors. This will include a range of exciting and stimulating planned opportunities and activities to allow our children to extend their learning, independence and become imaginative and curious learners.
During free play, children have the opportunity to help themselves to a healthy snack.
Afternoon Time
All afternoon children would have been welcomed and settled. They will embark in the same opportunities as all the morning children e.g., circle time and focused activities
As children wake up, they will further partake in a range of free play opportunities as well as physical development, sensory and craft activities.
Rest/ Quiet Time
Children are encouraged to have a rest/nap or some quiet time.
We value the importance of children having a smooth transition and adapting to their routine with parents.
Tea Is Served
The table is laid for tea time! Children will be sat down to have their tea. Something light but substantial enough to fill our children’s tummies before their dinner.
The Day Begins!
All our children are welcomed and suitably settled; children are encouraged to take part in a range of indoor activities upon arrival.
All necessary conversations with parents will take place to provide an update and any details required about their child.

Wine Down/ Sensory Calming Time
An opportunity to get children to reflect on their day and settle down in preparation for collection. Children may take part in some calming activities to allow them to remain calm and self-regulate
Home Time
We sadly wave goodbye. Our children are prepared to be sent home. Parents will be provided with feedback about how their child’s day went (which will also be accessible online).
